In the Aosta Valley, amid the giants of the Alps (Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso), skiing is always and extra-special experience: you can try out new runs every day for a week and explore uncharted itineraries from Italy to France and Switzerland, without ever taking your skis off.

For downhill skiing lovers, it means exploring 19 ski resorts, 800 km of runs and 7 snowparks, and exhilarating off-piste itineraries that can be reached with ski lifts or by helicopter from heli-skiing bases. Also, on the runs at the foot of the Matterhorn you can even ski in the summer!

The large ski resorts of Aosta Valley are the international ones of Breuil-Cervinia (between Italy and Switzerland), La Thuile (between Italy and France) and Monterosa Ski, stretching through 3 completely Italian valleys, at the foot of Monte Rosa. One of the best known resort is Courmayeur, at the foot of Mont Blanc, that is the capital of Alpinism since 200 years, a typical alpine village, offering a wide choice for food and fashion lovers too! The ancient town of Aosta, named the “Rome of the Alps” because of its beautiful and well preserved roman monuments, is connected by cable car to the resort of Pila, a natural balcony offering a 360° view on the highest peaks of the Alps. Torgnon, Champorcher, Crévacol and other smaller ski resorts are ideal places for families.
